The Glen Ridge Athletic Association (GRAA) is a non-profit, private group that sponsors, organizes, and operates organized athletic programs. GRAA offers sports programs for Pre-K to grade 8 and sponsors off-season programs for high school athletes. GRAA sponsors programs for children of any level of ability and provides advanced programs for the more developed and interested athletes. Our main objective is for the children to have fun, get some exercise and learn teamwork and sportsmanship. Program information, registration dates and forms are found on the web site.
Fall (Sign-ups are in August)
SoccerMike Brandell (In-town and Travel). Fall-season in-town for boys and girls in grades Pre-K to 8. Fall and spring season for travel. Tryouts are held in June.
FootballJim Lopes. Programs for Grades 3 to 8. Teams play in the Bergen County Junior Football League. GRAA sponsors 3 teams based on age and grade.
Field HockeyPatty Topping. Programs for Grades 5-8.
Winter (Sign-ups are in October)
BasketballDan Mahoney (In-town), Bob Salvatelli (Travel). In-town programs for grades 2 to 8. Travel teams are available for grades 5 to 8.
WrestlingPaul Schwern. For grades 2 to 8.
Floor HockeyTodd Travia. For grades 1 to 6. Games are played at the Carteret Rink.
Spring (Sign-ups are in January)
Baseball/TeeballRick Patton (In-town), James Malik (Travel); Intown programs for grades Pre-K to 8. Travel for grades 2 to 8 (depending on age).
SoftballPaul Marhan; Programs for Pre-K to 8. Softball traveling team competes in spring and summer.
LacrosseJohn Mulligan / Bob Salvatelli (boys), Lauren Smith (girls); Programs for grades 1 to 8 with travel teams starting in 4th grade.
